Steelhead are sea-run anadromous rainbow trout. They are born in freshwater streams,
migrate to the ocean to mature, and return to fresh water to spawn. Once abundant in
the Santa Ynez River and local streams, their populations have plummeted.
Santa Barbara Flyfishers is spearheading a long-term effort to restore Southern
California Steelhead to our region. Join us to learn from the experts and find ways to
