Mission Lagoon Invasive Plant Removal

We will be back at Mission Lagoon continuing to fight back the invasive sweetclover (Melilotus sp.) that has been taking over the dune habitat. We welcome anyone who wants to get their hands dirty taking care of the lagoon- both new and returning volunteers.

Please contact us at info@sburbancreeks.org to RSVP or ask any questions you have. Please bring your own garden gloves, although we will have a limited number of pairs for those who don't have them. All participants must sign a waiver, or have a parent sign a waiver if under 18. Make sure to bring water, sunscreen, and suitable attire, including closed toed shoes. If you need your volunteer hours certified on a form for school or work, bring that as well.
